The ECMHSP Board of Directors appointed Dr. Javier Gonzalez as the organization’s Chief Executive Officer. Dr. Gonzalez brought over thirty years of experience working with farmworker populations and most recently served as Chief Operations Officer at ECMHSP since 2016. He is a former president of the National HEP/CAMP Association and has held administrative roles in both K–12 and higher education institutions providing services for migrant students. He is also a graduate of the UCLA Head Start Management Fellows Program. Dr. Gonzalez’s personal and professional experiences inform his approach to policies and practices designed to increase access to education and services.
